Does anyone know if it is possible to install just a fax driver from an HP installation package. I have not been able to load fax driver and thought if I could determine exactly what the fax driver is called I could work with it a bit.

Are you saying the printer works but not the fax? It's possible you have installed the wrong driver for your printer. One thing you could try is doing a scan with an automatic driver update utility. Go to http://www.pcdriverupdate.com they have a free scan that will show you all of the available driver updates for your system. I've used it many times and saved a lot of hassle, definately worth a look.
