Does anyone know if there is an up-to-date driver for the Apple Personal LaserWriter NT (Apple doesn't support this product anymore)? Also, is it possible to connect this printer somehow to a PC running Windows 2000 Pro? Thanks.

Laserwriter 8 is supposed to drive it, but I can't get the chooser to display the printer when I select my laserwriter 8 icon in my chooser. I even have the personal laserwriter NT printer description file in the printer description folder. What am I doing wrong? My windoze 98 machine has a LW NT driver in the system software, but finding the right cable is my problem. What's the solution for this?

I also have Win98 with the driver included. However, even after finding the correct cable the LW Personal NT will not print. ALL help and ideas welcome!

You can print just fine to an Apple Personal Laserwriter NT from both Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 and any other windows O/S. Using Dave, a Netbios file/print sharing utility for Macintosh, setup your Macintosh to participate in a windows network. I have used an iMac and Windows XP Pro network and can share files between both quite conveniently. The Personal laserwriter NT, being an Appletalk device, must be bridged to ethernet. I use a product from Farallon called the Ethertalk Iprint device, which connects localtalk devices to ethernet. The windows O/S have a driver for the Apple Personal Laserwriter NT that seems to work just fine. Hope this helps Bruce Elniski
