PC hangs when loading OS

Pc hangs when loading Win Xp, I tried several good win xp service pack 2 on other computer and it works. When I try to run on this computer there's no problem on hardware detection and software installation but when it tries to open or load Win xp, it hangs and there's unknown character appears.
