orig driver for compaq ij1200 printer

I have misplaced the CD that came with my Compaq IJ1200 printer. When I go the Compaq website, the only thing that I can download is what they call SoftPaq 16825. This is an update, and will not work without the orig. driver. I ordered the CD, but it does not contain the orig driver either. Where can I get the ORIGINAL driver? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem...after hunting around on Compaq's site, I found this... http://web14.compaq.com/falco/sp_syn.asp?detail=yes&recid=SP15243
It also states that it is a softpaq update, but it DOES have the original drivers for the IJ1200. Download it to an empty temporary directory, be sure you hav the printer connected and on, then execute the file you dowloaded. It will automatically walk you through the setup.

Thank you very much for this advice. I've been searching for over three months to find a way to install my printer. I was just about to give up and buy a new but I'm glad I didn't.
Damn, I thought that only happened to me! SAME SCENARIO...neither COMPAQ not Lexmark could help with this problem. Then I somehow stumbled onto this page, found the link, downloaded it and VIOLA!!! Kevin...THANKS TONS!!!!!!
Ever since I upgraded my computer to XP Pro, my Compaq IJ1200 seems to work whenever it wants to. The bidirectional support has been on the fritz ever since the upgrade and I've tried many things. Some work but are temporary. HELP!!
I have the same problem as Tim with my Compaq IJ1200 printer. I recently installed Windows XP and, since then, my printer hasn't been very reliable (Its been working only when it wants to). If anyone can post a link to a driver or an update that can fix this problem, then please do so.
