Hey,
I happen to be looking for the same driver. It seems that Windows XP does not come with this driver. If anyone knows of a place to find this driver, feel free to drop me a line. Put the subject in the e-mail as, or close to: "OPTi Audio 16 Driver FOUND!" That should get my attention so I don't accidently delete it.

Do the "dr-tech" drivers work. I'm looking for this driver, also. I have found drivers for the 931 chipset, but I'm not sure if this is the chipset on his card.

Hi my Friends I am nearly sure that there's no diver for Opti-16 to install it in XP. I searched alot to find that driver for win2000 ,but consequently i found that the Opti company hasn,t written such a driver for windows 2000 ro higher. So ,Sorry.

Well My computer friends i can now say i have tried every web sit google throughs to me but i can not find any drivers for opti audio 16 for xp. This lastest file is for win 98 and that doesn't work.

Bad news guys. The driver did NOT work. AND I just found out that Opti does not have a driver that supports XP. According to them all drivers are done by Microsoft - so we have to wait for them to get off their duffs. One place that DOES have drivers for said device is the Win '98 disk. Unfortunately I have not gotten said driver to work. XP is throwing a coniption because it is NOT digitally signed. I will continue to work on this problem though and will keep you all informed. If I can get it too work then I will post how to do so here. Also I sent an e-mail to Opti to find out if a XP driver is forthcoming - I will post their reply when I get it. Sorry guys! :(

OPTi sold its audio chipset business in 1997. Please keep in mind that even prior to 1997, OPTi never made sound cards. We previously sold chips for these cards to other companies, who are responsible for providing and updating drivers. OPTi does not offer any audio drivers. In Other words the Driver for this card if gone...

There definitely are NO drivers for any soundcard with an OPTI Chipset for Windows XP! Sorry guys, if you want to use win xp and hear music at the same time you'll have to get a newer soundcard...

There is now a driver for the Opti for Windows XP. And as a reply to an earlier posting - Opti DID make a driver for Win 2000, you just were not looking in the right spot. If you would like the drivers for the Opti, please e-mail me...I will send them to you A.S.A.P.
