Opti 82c931 WinNT driver says
Name: Nito Jose Date: June 27, 2001 at 02:26:10 Pacific
Comment:
My Opti 82c931 card works in win9x OS that came with a driver which supports both Win9x and WinNT OS. But when tried with WinNT it displays the configuaration window(port, irq, dma, etc) and displays 'Opti 82c93x Audio Card not found'. What will be the problem? Is it due to incorrect Driver?

I am having the same problem with Windows 2000 pro. Apparently the card is made by a subsidary of soundblaster called Ective. No sign of new drivers though.

OPTi sold its audio chipset business in 1997, long before the advent of Windows 2000. Microsoft changed the audio standards under Windows 2000, so we cannot offer drivers for Windows 2000. You need to install a PCI-based audio card, generally available for under $30
too bad guy!

Oh, my God, I have searched the opti web site and they said that they didn't provide driver again and sound card vendor should be in charge of it. but I could n't find a vender who provide 2000 version driver for Opti 82c931. What should we do now? change sound card? ask them to provide driver? I think we should do something about it!
