Hey all...
I have run into a problem. I am trying to teach myself OpenGL. I bought a book with an interactive CD-Rom that has code examples, demos, and lots of other stuff.

Here is my problem: The CD came with software called Render Monkey 1.5, along with a bunch of DX9 and GL2 examples. I can open the DX9 examples and run them, but everytime I try to open a GL2 example i get the following error message:

OpenGL Shading Language extensions not detected - Please update your OpenGL driver.

Well i downloaded and installed SGI OpenGL Performer and Realtech VR(OpenGL Extensions Viewer), but nothing changed.

I checked ATI's website quite extensively, but I was unable to find OpenGL 2.0 drivers for the Radeon 9600SE( yes I know it's a piece, save your breath).

I'm not sure that this problem is essential to actually writing the program, but I would like to be able to view the examples.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
