Hi.

I want to run Counter Strike on OpenGL, but my graphics card cannot support it, according to the error message. I have an ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP 4X TMDS running on Windows XP.

So, I downloaded the Driver Update from the ATI website. I went to Win XP, Drivers, then the Rage Pro 128 family download.

However, right after the installation, I get an error message telling me this:

"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM322\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

Because of that, the entire setup failed. Can anyone help me? please I'm desperate, I've been reading a lot of the posts about this and I've tried a lot of stuff that didnt work. So can anyone give me some help?

Hi Kent.

Did you uninstall the original driver first?

ATI drivers are picky about the updating process.

I have an ATI card myself.

Here is a link to instructions for installing your drivers.

By the way - the uninstall directions say to restart the computer after you uninstall the driver. Sometimes Windows automatically puts the uninstalled driver back in. In my case, I uninstalled and DID NOT RESTART.

I then installed the new driver and restarted the computer.

Take care,
