Please help - I need a printer driver for my NEC 1260 (win2000).
Win2k already installed a driver - but when I print a document with a graphic I only get a white paper! I also can't use the rear paperout.
Can't install the NT or win95 printer drivers on the NEC disc.
Any help would be great!

This is the reply I got from NECtech:
Dear NEC customer,NEC is no longer marketing printers in North America. Service and Support will continue to operate as in the past, however due to limited resources NEC is unable to create fully functional drivers for older models (1260 included).

Even though NEC may not be providing drivers (and that bothers me to no end)...I can print graphics and more. My problem is that we no longer have the "functions" and "Versatility" of the formats this printer is capable of. We have had to install Win98 on a separate partition and when we need to print in book style or double sided pages, etc, we boot into Win98 to print the document.
Does anyone know of, is anyone aware of the possibility of a 3rd party driver? Its possible that some sort of driver for a 'compatible' printer might just work. I've been unable to locate anything... anyone have any ideas??

NEC SUCKS HARD. I bought a 1260N to work with my Mac and PC and now they don't have any updated drivers for the product and newer OS's on PC or Mac. They just dropped it and we all got the bar of soap.
Take the next STEP and NEVER NEVER BUY any NEC products again, this includes WORK and friends, Pass the word, stick with HP at least they stand behind there products longer then 2 years... Its just so lame and they suck
