Comment:

I recently had to reformat my computer, and now I have no sound coming from my speakers.
It's not the speakers, and it's all sounds that don't play.
I figure it's the audio drivers that got removed when the computer was reformatted.
I also cleaned out the inside of my computer before I reformatted it and I thought I might have knocked something loose, but everyone I talk to says they don't think that's the case.

I checked "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the control panel, and "Sound, video and game controllers" in the Device Manager.
In the device manager I see "C-Media High Definition Audio Device" and "Legacy Audio Drivers" along with some other devices under "sound, video etc..."
None of these have the exclamation point "!" or red X next to them.
When I right click on them and go to properties it say's they are both working.
"This device is working properly."

I also have "Device Usage" enabled on both.

But when I look in "Sounds and Audio Devices" it says there's "No Audio Device" and I can't touch any of the controls in the Audio and Video tabs. They all say "No Playback Devices", "No Recording Devices", "No MIDI Playback Devices".

I've asked around a few places for some advice, and most people tell me that it's a drivers problem, but they can't tell me what drivers I need to download.
As far as I know my computer didn't come with a drivers disc.
I looked around and found 2 discs that came with it: Application and Support Disc, and Operating System Installation CD.

Sound Card: C-Media High Definition Audio Device

Thanks for any help.
