Comment:

I have had no sound on my PC for several months. When I open up the control panel under sounds and audio devices is says I have no audio device. I got everest and ran it and under multimedia is says "Audio Adapter - Realtek ALC888/1200 @ nVIDIA nForce 430 (MCP51) - High Definition Audio Controller".

I made sure that windows audio was set to automatic.

I looked in device manager and this is what is says under sound, video and game controllers,
Audio Codecs
Legacy Audio Drivers
Legacy Video Capture Devices
Media Control Devices
Video Codecs

I don't know enough about PC's so sort my way through this. Do I need to download drivers? The PC was wiped and windows was reinstalled we have had no sound since then. Let me know if you need other information. Any help would be great!
