I have watched about every video on youtube with this topic. Also I have followed all of windows xp's instructions for this problem. I have even install realtek audio codecs from sony's website with my specific laptop model. This all started with a computer crash from viruses. Windows restarted new, along without sound I have many software unsupporting problems. Sotware like Microsoft Office, Windows Service Packs, Windows Net frameworks, and my installer for my printer. This is a windows problem because I have absolutly not sound problems when using linux live cds. I would have installed them but my brother refuses to agree that it is perfectly safe to do.
