no network adapter

Specs: Windows xp

I reinstalled my Windows XP OS on my Dell Dimension 2350. I used the original CD's that I received with the computer to reinstall. Under the Device Manager it shows the following are missing: ethernet controller, Multimedia Audio controller, SM Bux Controller, Video Controller. When I put in the driver CD it showed that the Audio, System, and Video drivers were installed - but the Network and Mouse Drivers were not. I clicked on the Network Driver on the CD and unzipped it. It then told me how to reinstall it on my computer. The problem is it says to click the + next to Network Adapters under the Device Manager and my Device Manager doesn't have a "Network Adapters" to right click on. Help please.

It is likely drivers can be sought from the OEM Manufacturer

I downloaded the "identifier" program that you gave me the link to and I'll try that this weekend. However, I think I already have the drivers on the CD that came with the computer - my problem seems to be that there is not "+ network adapters" under the device manager and so I'm not able to download the drivers on the CD to the computer. Please keep this conversation open until the problem is fixed. Thanks.
