New Detonator driver - Error in NvQTwk

I'm really starting to pull my hair out about this now.
I recently had to format HD's cos of a virus, so I reinstall all my software and then notice that there is a new "Detonator" Driver for all Nvidia cards supposedly including my TNT2. So I installed it and ever since then I've had problems.
On startup i keep getting a error msg from rundll saying that there is an error in NvQTwk and that it couldn't access NvCplDaemon.
Tried uninstalling the new driver and reinstalling the original that came with the card but keep getting the same msg again and again. There are no noticeable problems until i try to run any games then the comp crashes.
Any suggestions apart from formatting and starting again?

Goto www.3dguru.com (i think that is the wes address, if not do a search in Google) and download a program called 'Detonator Destroyer' it will completly remove the detonator drivers from your system :)
