I am working on an old computer that has a very old NIC in it. Of course I don't have the original driver. I have NO idea who manufactured it. It isn't on the card. It is a PCI card. I documented the old device name before I reformatted this computer. It was listed as KF-230-TX/2 PCI Fast Ethernet. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a driver for this or is there a "generic NIC driver" out there somewhere that I can use?

Thats just a little too weird because I have the exact same problem and what I have found out is that it IS called the KF 230 TX. the "/2" I think is just the model of it. any driver made for that one should work -- keyword SHOULD -- but it doesn't. I have downloaded several drivers labled for it and have had NO success installing the card. I keep getting the error "windows could not find the appropriate driver". On the positive side, it is a 10/100Mb NIC card with "wake on LAN" capability, thats what the white socket is on the top. PLEASE PLEASE let me know if you have found any leads on drivers for this card, its a good one!

Ok, same guy again! I have found a driver that sucessfully works with this NIC card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! E-mail me for instructions on how to install the files as they are a bit tricky to install. you need WINRAR to unzip the files or you will get nowhere in the installation. The manufacturer of the KF 230 TX/2 is KTI. Here is an exact location of where to get that file! =) Im so happy that it worked!

Well, Does anyone know of a usable "generic driver" I have a network card also and have no clue as the the manufacturer. Building a computer out of parts and this is the last part to find drivers for. The big chip has "Pulse" on it. No luck at pulse.com. A smaller chip has atmel on it. fcc id is ejmnpdalbany. An e-mail would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any info. Thanx

To identify the manufacturer if you have the FCC ID, go here:
