My sandisk is a cruzer crossfire 2gb, i need the driver to use it on windows 98. i have downloaded the cruzer98.exe file from the sandisk website, but when installed and i pluged my cruzer in through the usb port it still askes for a driver??? can anyone help me, or send me the driver???

I believe only Windows 98SE (aka second edition) is supported. Maybe if you do have SE then you have other issues relating to USB.
