This is the problem that I have...BTW I have many questions. I bought a used Compaq Presario 5340 and it had a bunch of junk on it. The person who owned it before me left everything on it. I have been uninstalling alot of programs. In the process of doing this I lost the display driver for it. Now I am restricted to 16 bit colors on the monitor. Can anyone please help me? Thanks in advance

Your gonna need to get the drivers for it :)
You can goto device manager and delete the current driver reboot and hopefully it will detect the correct one...if it doesn't work you have find out what graphics card you have (goto compaq - look up specs on you computer) and then manually download them(do a search on google or maybe compaq has them.
