Comment:
ATI now gives me a driver meant for a 7200 card. My card is an RADEON 64MB DDR TIVO. The 7200 is not the same card. I have mouse recognition problems with the 7200 driver. If I place mouse on icon in systray , it might say what the icon next to it is. I need an XP approved driver for it. Drivers guide don't have it. Will the one for 2000 work?

TIA!

YO

Have you tried ATI's Catalyst drivers?.....

Yep. But uninstalled it. It was version 5.3.
It wouldn't let my card run at 4X. I'm not sure if it was even running at 1X. I had it retest and it would come up with the same results.

Also, if I let windows load its version of the 7200 driver, it causes my system to crash. Within a minute.

The card use to be in a Gigabyte board, but I decided to move it to my most up to date computer (Asus). When it was in the Gigabyte, I could have sworn that I downloaded the correct driver from Driverguide.com. But now I can't find it anywhere. Also thought I had saved the driver to my documents, but can't find it there either.

I really hate to buy a new card. That's why I asked if anyone here thought the W2k driver might work. Use to in device manager it called it 64MB DDR or RADEON 64 DDR or something like that. Can't remember. Now is says RADEON 7200 Series AGP.

If you guys come up with it, please post a link to it. I will come back and look to see if anything new has been posted.

BTW, now that I don't have Catalyst, How do I really tell if it is running in 4X mode?

My bios is set to auto and my mobo supports up to 8X.

Thanks!

YO
