The HP Scanjet 5300C drivers are available from HP's website for Windows, and apparently, also for MacOSX, but unfortunately, not for mac OS9..the only way to install that scanner in OS9 is off of the 5300c Install CD. I have been looking for 6 months for either the OS9 drivers, or a copy of the Install CD.. Since HP has discontinued all OS9 support (at least re new additions to their drivers downloads..i.e. if it's not on their drivers site now, it ain't *never* gonna be), i am desparate..i did download and use their windows drivers for the scanner (a pretty hefty 90 meg D/L too) but as of this week, i no longer use or have a Windows PC, so it's a Mac or nothin'. Since i need the scanner regularly i'm hoping someone either has a driver or the 5300C CD they'd part with (or trade? i've got hundreds of cd's to trade from...). I know that there's 3rd party drivers for 30 or 40 $ but i like the HP ones - i used to have a 4400C, of which i liked the software, and partly for compatibility, as i have several other HP imaging devices on the mac.. Anyone? Thanx...
