Does anyone know where I can get this driver? I went to the yamaha site and it is listed but there is no download. I tried driverguide and nothing there. Googled and nothing.

Windows 98 should pick up the Drive if it is recognised in BIOS, though it may list it as a CD Drive.

Nero/EzCD software and later will be able to use it for burning if W98 recognises it.

OK maybe I have it connected wrong. I do have a copy of Nero that should go with it.

Well I have it connected right now. The drive is reading as in thta windows is seeing it but the light on the drive is still red. When I try to get it to read a cd it gives me the error that it is not ready and to retry or cancel. Is it going to take a lot of time to read because the drive is so old (2x2x16)? The cpu speed is 533mhz and there is 32meg of ram.
Ah I think I know the problem. It doesn't like cd's that are 800mb and maybe it prefers the 650mb ones. Dunno just a theory???

Ok well I got info from Yamaha that says that the drive is working if it at least reads music(factory made) cd's. They gave me a link to a manual so I could check the properties or something but the link had "Yamaha does not make cd drives or cdrw anymore". Something like that anyway. I emailed back but no more info yet! Anybody got any ideas?
