Need a driver to install printer

I'm trying to install a Dell AIO 922 Printer to my IBM laptop, but it won't let me install a printer on a USB port. Is there a driver for my dilemma?

Thanks for your response. The printer software is installed. When I try to print a test page I get: Dell Photo AIO Printer 922 USB Port "The Printer Can't communicate with the computer" It suggests disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord and the USB cable (to no avail)
I suspect my computer is presently unable to run a printer from a USB port. In the Add Printer process I don't have the option to select "USB0 or USB1" as a printer port.
