Hi Daniel.
Toshiba says its DVD roms don't need special drivers.

Does the drive show up in Device Manager?

If it is in your Device Manager -
Is it that your DVD drive doesn't play DVDs?
You may need DVD software which is software for playing DVDs rather than a driver.
Most DVD drives come with software to play DVDs but if yours didn't you can buy the software.
I use PowerDVD.

You can search for other software on the internet. There may even be free ones.
Take care,Linda

It seems that my computer messed up and I had to reformat my hard drive and when everything was ok , i looked and saw that my dvd player was lost. the one that I was using was the Toshiba dvd-rom sd-m1202, can you please tell me what to do to try and find it on my computer or do I have to reinstall the hardware or a driver, and if so will you tell me how to do it...
