Comment:

When I boot up, I get a message about new hardware being found. Windows then tries to find a driver for it, but can't. The hardware is described as a "mass storage controller" but that is all, no make or model. All of my 'known' storage devices work so it appears it's not one of them. I've tried deleting it, and it disappears, but comes back again at the next boot. How to I identify or get rid of it?
