Hi! I've got Mustek 1200 UB and I'm having trouble with it under W2K/XP. Everything I scan is stretched horizontally. It looks as if the scanner is scaling everyting at 200% but vertical dimensions are OK. When I try to scan a CD cover its heigth is OK but the width is so big that it doesn't even fit to A4. Help!

Hi,
Had exactly the same problem trying to force the W2K drivers into XP Pro. Unfortunately NEVER solved it :-(
Last week tho, I found that Mustek released the XP drivers. Have you successfully sorted the problem with the XP drivers ?
The reason I am interested is because I can't get anything to see my scanner with these drivers !
So far, after checking the INSTALL Log file, I find that the Twain, Twain32 and Usbscan.sys files are not being copied during installation. And the existing versions (microsoft's own) of these files on my machine cannot be removed prior to installation due to the 'file protection' XP employs. It's my thought that a conflict occurs between an operating system designed to support WIA (Windows Imaging Aquisition) registered devices and Mustek's own (non-WIA registered) drivers refusing to install in place of/along side of them.

Install, then scan using TWAIN acquisition on Photoshop , Paint Shop or similar. Works fine in XP pro. These scanners dont include the WATCH utility used to do direct scanning in win98.

Yeah my only problem is finding a dedicated site that has the drivers and they are 100% downloadable, ive found loads of sites with the drivers (xp) but none of them are complete its annoying someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
