the drivers r not out yet. i used windows 2000 drivers and that works.
to install on xp machine jusy go to registry and rename the key productname from microsoft windows xp to microsoft windows 2000.
install the mustek driver for windows 2000.
undo the changes in the registry when you finished the scanner drive install .

You folks should go to mustek's support site (geez) and then to XP support site (for lazy ppl: http://www.mustek.com/Support/winxp.html)
when i checked site there wasn't driver for 1200ub yet, but i think it should be soon....

Hi,
I was told that driver for Mustek 1200 UB scanner for WIndows XP has not ready, so I updated operating system to Windows 2000, but I still can not install the driver downloaded from Mustek website correctly. The scanner does not work after installation. Does anyone know what is the problem? Any suggestion is appreciated.

the drivers don't work from their site. I install them, press aquire from a any graphics app and the program just vanishes.

I need the software that came with the 1200ub scanner for my windows 98. We accidentally rolled over it with the chair and I can't seem to get one from mustek...Can anyone tell me where I can buy or get one? PLEASE email me. I need it soon as I am making a collage for my son's graduation and I need to use the scanner!!! THANK YOU! Paulette Huntley

Have working driver patch for Mustek 1200 UB - been using for 6 months, no problems. Also have the 2 original installation discs. XP driver patch will fit on 3.5" floppy, so can e-mail it to anyone.who needs. Can burn copies of original discs and mail them.
Note that the Packard Bell Diamond 1200 (amongst other scanners) uses Mustek 1200 UB drivers - you can install Mustek 1200UB with a number of drivers for scanners made by Mustek for OEM's.

If anybody knows how to get the Mustek 1200 Ed to work in Windows XP, please email me. I tried the method with the Windows 2000 drivers, and the editing software (Paint Shop Pro) crashes when I ask it to acquire an image. Help!
