mouse wont install with drivers

I have been trying to add a mouse to my laptop - it is supposed to be a plug and play mouse but the laptop does not reconise it. I went to www.driver333.com.tk where the box recommends downloading the drivers....but the mouse comes with no info about what type of mouse it is and none of the drivers I have downloaded from that site have worked. I have also tried installing another mouse but again my laptop installs the mouse but the mice themselves wont work, any help out there?

If you're running Win95, it could be that Win95 doesn't support plug & play feature.

Use keyboard to manuever in Windows. Do an internet search for keyboard shortcuts if you are unsure of how to do it.
Remove any references to a mouse in device manager. Shut down. Unplug mouse. Start Windows. Skip part about no mouse installed. Then after Windows is up, plug mouse in and do a search for new hardware. It should find it and install drivers if the mouse and port are working right.
