I have a second hand modem and can't locate the driver. All I know is the modem is a 3Com, numbers on it are AD1806 JS, ERD 45754A-0-4; 9850 and 1.012.0643D- can anyone help?

You can find the driver for the ad1806js chip here. It's a 3Com/USrobotics chip. The product number to look for on this page is 00569900. Good luck!

The drivers for the 3Com/USrobotics ad1806js chip did not work for me.
I did however find that the "USRobotics 56k Win INT" driver works for my modem with the following chip scribblings:
AD1806JS ERD45088A - 0.4 9849

I run a radio show on Jammin 103.5, a hit music station, actually that has nothing to do with this post. THIS will help you a lot. The modem with the chip pct789t is actually the hsp56 micromodem. That is what they call it and you can get the most updated driver from www.pctel.com/downloads/drivers_download.htm Hope this helps all of my people who had the same problem as me

The modem with the AD1806JS chipset is actually a usr (or U.S. Robotics) 56k modem, it is made by usr and usr is nowe owned by 3com, have fun finding the drivers, I looked all over the net for them (believe it or not my other computer has the sane modem). You might try your luck by asking 3com what the real name of the modem is, and how to get the driver (that';s what I did). They are curtious and they will try their best to help you!
