missing run32dll.exe

I found an old post that stated the following about replacing a missing or corrupted run32dll.exe file: What has probably happened is that the virus corrupted your RUNDLL32.exe. You will have to put a clean file back in. These are on the XP CD. Stick the CD in. Open a CMD box from START/PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/COMMAND PROMPT type in the following:- expand <CD-ROM:>\i386\rundll32.ex_ %Systemroot%\rundll32.exe where the <CD-ROM:> is your CD-ROM drive letter, like D: or E: (dont type in the <>) That should put it back. My question is will this work for windows 98 as well? If not how is it done? Ken H.
