I've installed a new program that was written in VB6 - (the software was packaged by using Microsoft's Package and Deployment Wizard and it contains all the DLLs)
After I install the new software, it works fine, but once I shut down my computer and try to use the software again, I get an error message saying that msvbvm60.dll is missing. I know that I have it. I've installed vbrun60sp5.exe that has all the newest DLLs. The program works, but once I reboot, it stops working again. (I installed the program on other machines, and it works fine)Does anyone know what could cause this? Thank you all for your help,
martin

Martin,
I have just encountered a problem like the one you reported in July on COMPUTING.NET. I did not see any responses to your bug report, so I am contacting you to see if you received any helpful responses and/or if you have been able to determine the solution to the `disappearing' MSVBVM60.dll.
Hope you have some good news. Thanks.

My problem is the same like yours. I installed an VB 6 program and theres something good. I de-installed an VB 6 programm and then windows missing the msvbvm60.dll. Anytime. Whats this ?
There's an new msvbvm60.dll in \system32 folder. The same size like the old one, but a new date. I copy the old one in system32 folder and theres something good. The OS i have installed is XP Professional and VB 6 with SP 5. Under Win98 and WinNT a never this problem.
