Hi, I am Missing my cdrom drive in the window-- MY COMPUTER. d:/. What shall I thee do? WITHOUT CD'S OR FLOPPIES!!!
In Control Panel open System, Device Manager and open the cdrom and click properties then settings. Change to the drive you want at the bottom.

I can't find the CD Rom listed on my device manager anymore. It seems just to have vanished. Any ideas on how to get the computer to recognize it is there?
I have the same problem. Recently, my DVD and CD drives would disappear out of the blue on my three year old computer. One reboot later and they would return. It only happened a couple of times. I used the DVD only days ago. Now, the two drives are missing and I have been unable to get them back. CDROM is not listed at all in my Device Manager. ben j
