Hello, I'm desperately seeking a MIDI driver for the onboard AC'97 chip (Intel 815 mainboard)- Win ME or 2000. It must support MIDI IN/OUT via the game port of the card in order to hook up external MIDI hardware. The available drivers I found on various websites suggest that (external) MIDI is not even supported on the AC'97, only sound...(??)
Any suggestions? Can I possibly install some generic MIDI driver?

I am having the same problem with my AC 97 on Win ME. Have you found a solution? I bought tons of expensive midi equipment and can't install midi ports.
