Comment:
Hi,
I wanted a very slim scanner, so I bought a Slimscan C6 USB (Microtek).
I recently upgraded to Windows XP and my scanner does not work anymore. And the ScanSuite and Scan Wizard are not compatible with XP
I am using an:
Athlon 500 MHZ, 256 Megs of SDRAM ATI Rage 32 Megs Rage
Windows XP
Can we get updated drivers to make it work?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Yves LeBlanc
Note: I've never seen a comoany with such a lousy service (Microtek). I sent them 7 E-mail and was never answered.
I have win XP and with a little registry modification the scanner should work with win XP.
Microtek Pantom C6 USB or Slimscan 6 (Scanner) Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Windows NT - Current Version change the ProductName to Microsoft Windows 2000, then install the Windows 2000 Drivers.
The registry then can be put back to it's original value.
TEll me if this works... Mo
