Comment:

I need major help. I'm STILL looking for a Lucent Win Modem driver that will work with XP. I have been to MANY recommended sites, downloaded the drivers and they won't work. Has anyone had success with any XP Lucent Win Modem driver? Can someone please walk me through exactly what I need to do? From getting the driver, to how to install it and set it up.

In the past week I've went from feeling like Jimmy Fallen's Nick Burn's character from SNL to someone who doesn't know what the mouse does.

:-/

After I upgraded to Windows XP, I ran into a similar problem. No drivers will work. So I broke down and bought a new modem!

I am sending this using a Lucent Win Modem & XP. The driver location is :

c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\ltmdmnt.sys
c:\windows\system32\drivers\modem.sys

As you can see it works perfectly...

I am also looking for a driver for my Compaq Armada 7400 that have a modem Compaq Armada 56K (V.90) Modem and that is apparently a LTWinModem. XP does not detect the modem and at the Compaq web there is no update.
