HI!

I searching after program for Low level formating, perhaps can I save this harddisks.

Hey there,
not sure if it will help but you can try scandisk (it probably won't work) and you can try the formatting utility on the windows installation disk (I think it's fdisk or something)-You're lucky, I only have 412Mb on one and 1.2Gb on the other..

you might want to go Quantums web sight they might have what you need or email them they will probley send you the program you need ...... I hope this will work for you

The Maxtor site has what you need @ :
http://www.maxtor.com/products/DiamondMax/techsupport/TechnicalProcedures/20014.htm
It is a diagnostic program for Maxtor/Quantum drives.

This debug routine is used to erase all partition information on the hard disk drive and is only recommend for experienced users or users who are unable to delete the partition information through fdisk.
From a command prompt Start ... Run ... Command ... debug
-F 200 L1000 0
-A CS:100
xxxx:0100 MOV AX,301
xxxx:0103 MOV BX,200
xxxx:0106 MOV CX,1
xxxx:0109 MOV DX,80(80 for hd 0 or 81 for hd 1 )
xxxx:010C INT 13
xxxx:010E INT 20
xxxx:0110
-g
Program terminated normally
-qNow you can run fdisk and repartition your drive set as as active and reformat...

i have an IBM ATA-IDE hard drive that is doing weird stuff. it needs to be low level formatted. does anybody know where i can get a program for this? i have not been able to locate one.
thank you for your helpi have fdisked it and formatted it but this still has not corrected the problem.
