Comment: Quick Cam is jerky when making a movie. This happens if I install the latest QuickCam Drivers from Logitech or if I use the default WindowsXP Drivers. I have tried several different drivers and all of the camera settings and Movie Maker settings. Anyone experiencing the same problem

Reply: (edit)There's a fix for the blurry blueness in XP on the Logitech site. As for me, my camlight goes off after a random amount of time for no reason, freezing the cam prog and the image along with it. &*@#^(*@ Logitech, man.

Reply: (edit)I have the same problem. QuickCam® Pro (Dark Focus Ring) Windows XP 5.1.2600 Driver version: 6.0.0.1208 Driver install version: 4.0.100.1190 Driver install filename: qc601enu.exe If I select the cam from 'My Computer' it shows live feed, but it's rather jerky. When I use Logitech's software it does the same, but if I record anything it gets even worse, it freezes for a second from time to time. If anyone knows anything please post it in here.

Reply: (edit)They actually sent me a working solution!! I received this email, do what it says and the problem should be solved: Run the tech support tools for 6.0 Select start, run, if anything is typed in the open line press delete on keyboard to clear it, Run click on browse, in the look in line select drive c, then select program files & hit enter, then select Logitech & hit enter, then select QcamWebMedia & hit enter, then select qcdrivers & hit enter, then select setup.exe & hit enter, in the run line after the " mark put a space & type techsupt, the line should now read "C:\programfiles\QcamWebMedia\Qcdriver\Setup.exe" techsupt. click on ok, it should give you 4 options, run option 2 Remove Device and Reenumerate USB, then run option 1 Uninstall Camera Driver Files, each time doing exactly what it tells you on the screen, then run option 3 Install Windows Files NOTE: When installing windows files you may get a few messages that reads the following- "VERSION CONFLICT, A file being copied is older than the file currently on your computer. It is recommended that you keep your existing file." "DO you want to keep this file?" SAY NO to each of those prompts. You may also get a file called GM.DLS that it cannot find, SKIP this file. then run option 4 to exit, click on start, run, take the techsupt out of the line & hit ok it will now run setup. Follow the prompts on screen to install the drivers again and the camera should now work. If you perfer to have someone help you run the tools call tech support at 702 269 3457
