Lexmark 1100 color jetprinter and ms off

My operating system is win98 and i have installed microsoft office xp, but now i can't print on my Lexmark 1100 color jetprinter. On the device manager i have code 24: This device is either not present, not working properly, or does not have all the drivers installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and the drivers, but i am still having this problem. Could somebody please help me solve this problem? Thank you in advance.
