Comment: Please could someone email me regarding how to get my lexmark 1100 printer working again. I have recently upgraded my IBM Aptiva PC grom Windows 98 to Windows XP. Unfortunately XP is having trouble ecognising the printer. On the Lexmark website there are updated drivers for downloading that connect XP to older printers such as my one but it is still not printing properly. I live in the UK and still have insurance, which unfortunately does not cover my printer. However, the insurance people, work colleagues and computer shops have all said I should be able to get the printer working but I dont see how. Anything sent to the printer just come out in a faint haze that is almost unreadable. A computer shop said that XP was released too early and that I need to download extras and add-ins from the microsoft website but I have already downloaded what I can. Please can someone help as lexmark dont offer support after one year statutory warranty. Please email to - jeremy@cook125.freeserve.co.uk Thankyou

Reply: (edit)Jerry, did you download from http://www2.driverguide.com/uploads/uploads11/32026.html? Did your lexmark 1100 work with the windows xp after that? I have the same problem, but when I saw the warning on the above site about these drivers not tested.... sort of scared me. What did you do? Thanks!!
