product says it is supported for Win98. It is recognised on insertion as new hardware RW022 ImageMate, then please install driver.
Cannot find suitable driver on the CD supplied, cannot find one from Lexar support suggesting download RW018.zip.
Anyone know what driver is needed and where to find it?

when did you buy the product ? if it`s new, you can try to install the drivers from the driver CD...
Bought Lexar RW022 1 month ago.
It is Rev B type so can take high memory cards.
Problem is I cannot get my Win98SE to recognise a suitable driver on the Lexar CD supplied, nor with the unzipped file RW018.zip that lexar suggests to download.
Lexar.com/drivers lead to to the file
RW018.zip
which I have already tried without success for the RW022.
What driver CD?
hmm...usually, when somebody buys some peace of hardware peripheral, he gets a driver cd...please check your box the camera was in and look for a cd...
... try >> Lexar.zip ... click download... either join or "Download this file by viewing a series of ads" ... which is a case of scrolling down the page of "spam" and clicking "continue".... there is a download after the bombardment!

Thanks for replies.
I have always unzipped the files suggested.
I have now tried -
Lexar.zip - which instals the files for RW018 reader cardRW018.zip - from the Lexar support which instals the same files, but the RW022 reader still does not recognise a driver.
7219RevA_CF_Reader_QSG_setup.exe - this instals the Lexar USB card Reader Driver v.1.1g
Uninstalled and then reinstalled the CD which comes with the reader from Lexar - this instals the Lexar USB card Driver Reader v.2.1g
In trying all these files the same thing happens when I plug in the RW022 reader card i.e. New hardware RW022ImageMate - please install driver.
I try the folders where I have unzipped the downloaded files - no luck.
I try the c:\Windows folder
then the c:\windows\INF
Also the D:\LexarCD again - but still no suitable driver is found.
What am I doing wrong.
What is the file name for the Win98SE driver for the Lexar RW022?
I have asked Lexar, but got no straight answer.Phil C
hmm...please make folders on the desktop and extract the files from seperate sources to separate folders... Lexar.zip to lexar, the CD driver files to CD etc...
then go to device manager, right click the reader and select update driver...then browse to desktop driver folder..try this for all the folders...
... aswell as unzipping the downloaded files I am guessing that you have(?) "run" (opened) the setup.exe's or (an)other application(s) ... the cd may also have an exe file to invoke rather than pointing to it for the driver(!)
... also "inf" files can be right clicked to install drivers.

Have tried putting all on desktop in all relevant folders
Lexar USB card reader driver v2.1g
Lexar USB card reader driver v2.2(M)
7219RevA_CF_Reader_QSG_setup.exe
RW018 reader filesI have also executed all the relevant *.exe files in the downloads.
Still the same when I plug in the Lexar reader.
My Win98SE computer immediately recognises it as new hardware called RW022ImageMate
and the wizard asks to search for driver.
I try all the folders I can think of but still unable to find suitable driver.
This is both in trying the card reader for first time.
Or trying it from device manager as an unknown device and right clicking "reinstall driver".What is the file name for the Win98SE driver for the Lexar RW022 ????
Please help
