I was given a Slimnote 9166TZ Laptop. It wanted the modem driver at each boot up. Fax/Voice/Modem/Speakphone/ASVD 33600 PnP. To make a long story short. After weeks of research to no avail, I tried installing drivers from the Win98SE OS disc. I finally found one that worked for me. Kortex International KxPro 33.6 Vocal ASVD Windows states that it's not the correct driver but it works fine on Dial Up. I've seen requests for this driver in other forums. I hope this works for someone else.
