Comment:

I recently purchased a new video card /YESTERDAY/ and installed it in my computer. I installed the driver even though it did not read, on the cd that it was XP compatible. I did find a place where I could download a driver for the software supporting XP....

BACKSTORY: Ever since I installed the new video card driver I have been having trouble. When I try to play 3D games or when I try to view the Plus Screensavers (which is why I bought the new video card, because my old one didn't have enough memory. Which I didn't find out until after I opened the plus package, so I couldn't take back the software....)

Anyway, I am having trouble because my computer on 3D items keeps shutting down/locking up and restarting. In fact it's something that I am constantly living with since YESTERDAY the 3rd of March. Would installing the XP compatible driver help w/ my problem or should I just return the Video Card to the store where I Purchased it.

Another thing. Would I have to uninstall the old driver.

Thanks for your help
