Hi I'm having a problem where I try to install my new DELL USB keyboard but it gives an error message stating 'Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The file may be corrupt or missing.(Code 39). I tried reinstalling the device driver but it gives me the same error. The device driver that I use is the HID Keyboard Device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Oh and by the way, I am able to type using the systems On-Screen Keyboard.

Try this. Go in the RUN command from your start button and type in CMD ,a box will open and type in chkdsk(space)/f(space)/r. you will get a message asking if you would like chkdsk to run the next time you restart, answer y for yes then restart your computer. When the computer restarts it will run chkdsk. It will take a while. If you see any files being corrected it is probably the problem. After it is done restart your computer and see if is fixed.
