After following this Info from http://www.faqs.org/faqs/cdrom/cd-recordable/part3/section-1.html, Nero Burning Rom recognized my XR-W2010 unter Win2k:
As of September 2001, the Adaptec ASPI layer causes problems on Win2K and should not be used. The LSI "w2kaspi" layer may work better; it can be found at ftp://ftp.lsil.com/pub/symchips/scsi/drivers/Utilities/w2kaspi.zip.

I have had no real problem getting the WR-W2010 to work under Windows 95/98/ME and 2000 To install on Win2k you simply tell windows not to detect the drive and install it as a standard CD Rom Drive - windows will quite happly tell you what it is and Nero seems to work fine. * I have found this to be the case with all versions of Windows listed above.

i did as you say. I installed the recorder just as a simple standart CD-Rom. Win2k has detected a "worm" device automatically...
