Subject: Intel(r)82810E Graphics ControllerOS: XP ProfessionalCPU/Ram: P111 866 Mhz, 128MB |
Comment: When ever I'm working for more than half an hour on my XP installed PC, my system just freezes and after 10-15 minutes, it restarts with a message that computer has just recovered from a fatal error and Intel(r)82810E Graphics Controller is the main culprit. Is the default XP's driver not suitable for my graphic controller. I am puzzeled since XP shows that my display device is working fine. But why is the drivers still giving me crashes. Should i install any new driver or should i change the card.

Reply: (edit)Hi, Make sure your drivers are upto date. Check your temperatures (all fans etc. working?) within the computer, it could be that it is over heating, then when left, cooling down. Best of luck, daisymay

Reply: (edit)Hi All I could add is it would be a good idea to test your ram. I like using memtest86 at www.metest86.com There are others like simmtester. Memtest86 offers both floppy bootable and an iso image to create a bootable cd.
