Subject: Intel HaM Data Fax Voice Modem

Comment: My computer with Windows ME OS will not go into standby condition after disconnecting the modem from my telephone line. I get the following message on the screen " Your computer cannot hibernate or standby because the HaM WDM Modem Driver cannot enter into a low power state". I can go into standby if I have not used the modem after booting up my computer. Any ideas please on how to solve this problem? Do I need a driver upgrade assuming one exists and if so where can I find one? Thanks

Reply: (edit)I cant install my Xp cause i cant get a updated driver, please help before I throw this thing out the window!!!!! I did at least thought i had one and installed my XP 4 times to find that i still cant connect to the net.

Reply: (edit)The driver that is ment to work with windows xp doesnt work. I installed windows xp proffesional and when i installed driver my windows suddenly blanked out and when the computer restarted itself it said that system recovered from big error or something like that.
Can anybody help me?

I cannot get Windows XP drivers for my Modem, i have checked all the URL's that have been posted but non will work, if any of you still have the problems or have discovered a different way then pls share it with me!!! I have also tried using various 2000 drivers with no success.

I had it working with XP using the windows 2000 driver. But now, it is just playing stupid. It connects to the internet, and does let me surf. I'm trying to find the xp driver on the net without success. Anyway, if any of you has found the driver for xp, just let me know please.
The windows 2000 driver works, but my computer is a bit stupid wiht some devices. All the best Fidel.

Je veux passer en Windows Xp.

Reply: (edit)For those of you that are able to connect with the modem under windows xp [eg. using win 2k driver.] Just go to windows update and scan your computer for updates. If there is a driver for this modem availible for windows xp it will be in the section labeled "drivers" after you scan your computer

Reply: (edit)In win2000 I can dial up the internet get emails etc, and use Hyper Terminal, but can not use the Windows dialer. Does anyone have a clue why?
