You say that you changed your hard drive for a bigger one (did you mean from '60Gb'??), but did you then do a complete reinstall of XP, or did you transfer from the old drive to the new one ? If you did transfer, then this is a weird silly fault & probably needs a technical user to actually see the PC.

If you did a complete new installation, you will need to find the model number of your mainboard (its written on it usually in big text), and then google search for its drivers e.g. ASUS XX12XX34 mainboard driver download.

Try to select a download from the manufacturer instead of unknown 3rd party suppliers. You will also need a few other drivers too i presume, so go into XP Device Manager and see what it shows up with a yellow problem marker on.

XP makes it appear you have your grafix driver installed when you don't, so you will need that and the sound drivers definatly.

If your having real problems finding what you need, it may help to download a free utility called UNKNOWNDEVICES, and run that. It analysis all hardware and sees its true model and name details, and even shows what is not properly installed too.
When you're stuck, it can show you far more than most other utilities of its type as it's not trying to be clever - it's simply reading of the hardware ID list.

I hope that bit of info helps somebody.
