As the title says. When ever i try change the resolution or add a NVidia driver i end up getting a BSOD.
It first messed up on me (the computer) when i was playing Oblivion, messing around. Game froze up on me and i hit the reset because alt+Tab didn't work, then Ctrl+Alt+delete didn't work. So after i hit reset the computer went haywire at the windows loading screen then BSOD'd, i then ran it in safe mode and flipped out on me.
After that i thought i may as well reformat again as i had the previous week due to a virus, thinking it was another virus from some shoddy software. But when i reformatted, it kept this visual mess up which was happening before i reformatted.
http://img82.imageshack.us/i/needhe...Its blue (Teal actually) strips going vertically down my screen, i can't remove them and they change with every resolution change. Can't change my resolution to the highest, 1280 by 1024. It also says my monitor isn't a plug and play monitor but it is and was before.
On to what happens when i install a driver. When i install one i get one of two things, a BSOD or a black screen with a underscore which blinks in the top left of the screen. I HAVE to turn off the computer or reset it at that point. other times after trying to install i will have the computer freeze on the windows loading screen. This is a real nuisance seeing i need this computer for work and leisure. None = MISTER CRAZY. :P
By the way i have a GeForce 8500 GT, which isn't reading on the scan for this website. (maybe my card is screwed =/?) And i am not sure if its reading that i have a AMD X2 dual core processor 4000+ MMX. Other then that i need help seriously after 4 or so formats and loss of work files.
THANK YOU IF YOU REPLY! <3
