I recently had to re-install Windows 2000 Professional on my Dell PC as all files were accidentally wiped of the disk, including the monitor driver. I downloaded the driver for my Dell E171FPb from the internet but when I go into Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced and select the monitor tab, I cannot load it as the "properties" button is greyed out. I do have administrator rights on the PC. I would be greatful for suggestions how to get around this problem! I don't know if it's got anything to do with it, but the Adapter tab says the Adapter Type is VGASave but no further information is available. I do apologise in advance if it's a dumb question - I'm not much of a computer buff! Any help is much appreciated! Marjon

You have not installed the graphics driver, therefore until you do so the monioter driver will not install
