would appreciate help in installing driver for Viking stick in ME OS. events are as follows: 1-put stick in USB slot 2-machine did not recognize 3-went to control panel;add new hardware;saw question mark next to USB device; clicked yes device is on list; clicked driver not installed; clicked reinstall driver with automatic search. 4- CAME UP WITH WINDOW SAYING FILE USBNTMAP.SYS NOT FOUND and COPY FILES FROM C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CAB 5- searched for file on C drive, came up negative.
Viking tech help could not solve this. appreciate directions on solving this problem. thanks

Look in this location.....
C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS\BASE2.CAB
or maybe........
C:\WINDOWS\INSTALL\BASE2.CAB
or the BASE2.CAB file on your ME CD

keith thanks for your reference, as it spoke exactly of the three files i needed. the referenced correspondent directed me to drivers guide, of which i am a member. the difficulty in drivers guide was in picking up precisely the location of the zipped files your referenced correspondent mentioned. could you copy the reference to these zipped files and post it. thanks and sorry to bother you so much
