While working on large word documents with lots of photos, I have twice received the following message: "ialnrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally." I am instructed to save work and reboot. When this happens, the screen initially goes totally black, as if the power had gone off. After a few moments (and movement of my mouse), it appears that the operating system goes into "safe mode" and I can save what I was working on, turn off the computer and reboot. The message also says that when I reboot, I can send a message to Microsoft reporting the problem, however, that opportunity does not happen when I reboot. And when I reboot, all seems well (but this has happened twice now).

Any help would be most appreciated.

I am not a techno-expert, though I am a very competent USER. Just explain to me simply what is happening and whether I need to take my computer into my local service--or if there is an easy fix.

Thank you!

SueTinny

PS: My computer is more than a year old, and is just now having this problem.

My OS is Windows XP and I have at least 512 mg of RAM and Pentium--I think it's 4.

(Sorry--This is my first post, and I thought the above would display without having to be in the message text.)
