Is that the mother board model or just the chipset model?

Bios updates are specific to the motherboard model and revision, and must be acquired from the maker of the mother board. The general class of bios known as Award 4.51pg was used on MANY motherboards with many different chipsets and setups. Same for the Intel 440BX chipset, Many different motherboards with many different BIOSes.

iT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE VIEWING THE v4.51pg INFORMATION AS YOU BOOT UP YOUR COMPUTER. hOWEVER, YOU SHOULD GO INTO THE BIOS TO VIEW WHAT SORT OF MOTHERBOARD YOU ARE GOING TO FLASH. oTHERWISE LOOK ON THE ACTUAL MOTHERBOARD TO CONFIRM THE DETAILS. yOU DONT GET MUCH CHANCE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM IF YOU STUFF UP THE FLASH. APART FROM BUYING A NEW MOTHERBOARD

I am looking for an upgrade for my BIOS (Award 4.51PG, 7/23/1998). The chipset I use is an Intel i440 BX/ZX, version b-1. FICCD code is: 2a69kv3fc.

Has anyone managed to find the BIOS upgrade to Award 4.51PG. I too have a 40G HD that cannot be detected byt he BIOS

You can set the jumper on the 40 GB disk
so that only 4092 cylinders are used.
In my case (Maxtor 540X drive) this had as result that the autodetection of the Award bios 4.51PG worked for the drive.
The effect is however that the drive has only
33.8 GB of usable data, but that is still
a lot.

Those information was retrieved from bios system information utility.
The v4.51PG don't support 40GB HDD, so i need an upgrade... please help me...

These are the specs of my PC:

Award Modular Bios v4.51PG
AMD-K6(tm)-2/350
VIA Apollo (M)VP3 Chipset

Im trying to install a new video card into my computer and i need to update the bios. If anyone has any info on an update please email me or post a message.

Hello, I am looking for a bios upgrade for the following bios.
Award Modular Bios v4.51PG
Award ID String: i440LX-W83977-2A69JG5JC-00
Board Bios Version: Pentium 2
2A69J: Intel 440LX/Ex Chipset (P2 based chipset)
G5: GVC Manufacture
Home URL for GVC: www.gvc.com.tw

Went to www.gvc.com.tw and they offer NO type of support concerning updates for the computers they build. I can find bios updates for all the other types of boards with the different types of chipsets, but not the one for me.

If anyone can help me with this, I would be geatly appreciative. Many thanks in advance for all your help.
